The Bridge – Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

The Bridge provides expert, trauma-informed care following sexual assault. Whether or not you choose to involve the police, The Bridge offers medical care, forensic examinations, emotional support, and referrals to other services.

Safe Link – Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs)

Their Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) offer emotional support, practical guidance, and advocacy to help survivors all of ages to navigate their recovery journey. Whether you need someone to talk to, support through the criminal justice process, or help accessing other services, Safe Link’s team is here to listen and support you.

Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS) – Therapeutic and emotional support

SARSAS offers free confidential support for anyone affected by sexual violence at any time in their life. Their services include a helpline, live chat support, one-to-one counselling, advocacy, group sessions, and online support resources.

If you are a student your university can also offer specialist support The University of Bristol Sexual Violence Support Service supports students who have experienced any form of sexual violence, regardless of when or where it happened. A team of specialist caseworkers provide one-to-one support to help you understand your options and make the right choices for you.

If you are a UWE Bristol student their Anti-Sexual Violence Service can support you if you’ve experienced sexual trauma of any kind, either recently or in the past. At UWE Bristol, we provide a non-judgemental, inclusive and confidential safe space for you to seek support even if you don’t want to report.
